Delivering Training to Sulaimani Reformatory Directorate

Sulaimaniyah - Monday, December 8, 2025: In an ongoing effort to promote safety, human rights, and institutional capacity, STEP Iraq successfully conducted a specialized training program titled “An Introduction to Child Protection.” The session was specifically organized for the staff and members of the Sulaimani Reformatory Directorate.

The intensive one-day workshop was designed to equip the facility's personnel with fundamental knowledge and practical tools regarding child safeguarding. By focusing on the core principles of child protection, the training aimed to enhance the capacity of the directorate's staff to identify, prevent, and appropriately respond to the needs of vulnerable individuals within the reformatory system.
