Sulaymaniyah - Monday, June 22, 2026 - In a significant move aimed at bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice, delegates from STEP Iraq officially visited the University of Human Development (UHD) today to formalize a transformative educational partnership. During the meeting attended by the President of the University of Human Development, alongside key academic and organizational representatives, the two entities signed a comprehensive joint memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The primary objective of this strategic agreement is to actively develop the practical skills of local youth and better prepare university students for a highly competitive, modern labor market. As regional industries rapidly evolve, the initiative seeks to ensure that graduates enter the workforce equipped not only with academic knowledge, but also with the hands-on expertise and soft skills directly demanded by today's employers.

The provisions of the newly signed memorandum will be managed and implemented in direct coordination with the university's Career Development Center (CDC). Serving as the operational hub for this initiative, the CDC will be instrumental in rolling out targeted training sessions, capacity-building workshops, and professional counseling programs tailored to the shifting needs of the workforce. #STEP #STEPIraq #MoU
